"I am an interdisciplinary creative and ardent traveler."

Laura loves unconventional story-telling. She looks for opportunity to connect seemingly different things, or else discover how they work together in a larger whole. She is largely inspired by nature, culture, food, and Gestalt theory. To Laura, the world is just a gigantic puzzle inviting us to complete a larger narrative.

Originally from Saint Petersburg, Florida, Laura left the Sunshine State to study at the Maryland Institute, College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore, Maryland. She graduated Cum Laude with a BFA in General Fine Arts, concentrated in fiber studies, and received a minor in Art History. She studied abroad in  Peru and Turkey, in addition to independent travel in Asia and Europe, and received multiple scholarships for academic and portfolio excellence.  She's currently based out of New York City, and selling her work at J&J Gallery in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.
